About Rachel Ostlund, DNP, APRN, FNP-C
As a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C), Rachel focuses on providing individualized and comprehensive health care to all people regardless of the barriers and challenges they may face. She aims to empower others to optimize their health through patient education, collaborative care, and utilization of community resources. Rachel’s Doctoral Clinical Dissertation focuses on the long-term effects adverse childhood experiences may have on an individual. With that said, Rachel has a particular interest in caring for those who have experienced adversity. Other clinical interests include preventative care, anxiety/depression, hypertension, and diabetes.
Education
Rachel has over 10 years of experience working in healthcare. She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and a Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) from North Dakota State University in Fargo, ND.
Licensure and Memberships
Rachel is board certified to practice through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and licensed by the state of North Dakota’s Board of Nursing to provide family-centered health care to patients of all ages.
Interests and Activities
Rachel enjoys spending time with her husband, goldendoodle named Rex, friends, and extended family. She also enjoys reading, knitting, and several outdoor activities including camping, hiking, and snowboarding.
