About Kara Kniert, DNP, APRN, FNP-C

As a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C), Kara is devoted to providing quality, holistic healthcare to patients of all ages. She focuses on health promotion and disease prevention in order to improve the health and well-being of individuals, families, and the community as a whole. Her clinical interests include nutrition, anxiety/depression, women’s health, and diabetes.

Education

Kara graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, North Dakota. She then obtained her Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) from the University of Mary in Bismarck, North Dakota.

Licensure and Memberships

Kara is board certified to practice through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and licensed by the state of North Dakota’s Board of Nursing to provide family-centered healthcare to patients of all ages. She is a member of the AANP and the North Dakota Nurse Practitioner Association (NDNPA).

Interests and Activities

Kara has a husband and two young children.  She enjoys spending time with her family at the lake, camping, and visiting extended family in ND and MN.  She is new to Fargo and looking forward to attending as many UND hockey and NDSU football games as possible!
